PRs

What the heck is a PR? Most people think of public relations, but if you’re a runner, cyclist, etc., it stands for something far more important–a personal record (also known as a personal best).

The better athletes among us have a shot at school, course, and maybe even a national or world record. But, for the rest of us, we can usually count on eventually beating someone–ourselves. That’s what PRs are for. Sure, your “personal” record often gets compared to other athlete’s “personal” records, but your PR is still all about you, no matter how “good” you are.

Here are my PRs. Ironically, I have set course and event records, but they aren’t listed here because I’ve run faster in other situations. Still, these are the times I’m most proud of because they are my best of all time. I’ve only listed my running PRs, because I’m still working on calculating my cycling PRs. So, if you don’t already do so, grab a watch and start keeping track of your best times. It’s great motivation no matter how fast you are.
